I saw Rebecca play live for the first time, a little while back in Porters, Cardiff with Bryony Sier & Ofelia. A superb night of local music and talent. Rebecca really shone.
She has a beautiful voice and sounds fantastic acoustically, as well as on a full production track. She came across as a really nice, well grounded young lady with a definite passion for music and song writing. Something she does so well!
So here's a little something about this talented young lady.....
"Rebecca is a 23-year-old singer songwriter resident in Porthcawl South Wales but musically centred in Cardiff, Wales UK. How did this all start:-
Rebecca first picked up a guitar in 2013 and started playing local open mics, word soon started to spread from a friend of a friend of a friend etc then out of the blue Rebecca received an email from Pixie Lott asking her to play at her Ellaguru monthly acoustic session in Aldwych, London on Thursday 4th June 2015.
Rebecca did indeed play at Pixie Lotts Ellaguru acoustic night on 4th June 2015 in London and it was here where she met up with JoCee, who being best friends with Pixie Lott announced, ‘We’ve got plans for you’
Writing her own music and lyrics Rebecca and with producer Jayce Lewis has achieved success with her debut EP 'Lions’ in September 2015 reaching number 5 in the iTunes Singer/songwriter charts."
I enjoyed both the 'Lions' EP and last single 'Lifelines', so was very excited to hear about the new, upcoming EP 'Waves' and the launch night taking place on April 12th at The Big Top, Cardiff. Rebecca says -
"After months of writing, recording and performing, the wait is finally over! I am so excited to finally be sharing new music with the world and I want you to hear it first!"
